This 1998 Morgan 4/4 was ordered in September 1997 for delivery to Contab Motors of Purcellville, Virginia, and it was purchased new by its current owner in 1999. The car is powered by a fuel-injected 1.8-liter Ford Zetec inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in green with a black convertible top over tan Connolly leather. Equipment includes front disc brakes, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, a Pioneer CD receiver, a chrome rear luggage rack, and a louvered center-hinged hood with a fleece-padded leather hold-down strap. This 4/4 is now offered on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual, a set of sliding-window side curtains, tire-changing tools, a copy of the build ticket, a photo album of the build, and a clean New Jersey title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Connaught Green with a black convertible top and features chrome bumpers, a badge bar, and a louvered center-hinged hood secured with a fleece-padded leather strap as well as wind wings, dual door-mounted side mirrors, and a chrome rear luggage rack. A set of sliding-window side curtains is included in the sale.

Chrome 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with eight-sided knock-off nuts and mounted with Continental Contact tires, and a matching spare is mounted on the rear deck. Suspension consists of sliding pillars with coil springs up front, semi-elliptic leaf springs out back, and tube shocks all around. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features bucket seats covered in tan Connolly leather that extends to the door panels, shifter console, dash pad, transmission tunnel, and door caps. Interior features include padded knee bolsters, adjustable head restraints, a locking glovebox, and a remote-controlled Pioneer CD receiver.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a burl walnut veneer dashboard housing a VDO 140-mph speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows 7k miles.

The 1.8-liter Ford Zetec inline-four features dual overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder, indirect fuel injection, and Ford’s EEC IV engine control unit. The fuel pump inertia switch was repaired and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.

The car is accompanied by an owner’s handbook, tire-changing tools, a set of sliding-window side curtains, a recent service record, a stereo remote control, a copy of the manufacturer’s build ticket, and a photo album that documents the build.

Additional photos from the build can be viewed in the gallery.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage and lists registration history in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
