This 1941 Cadillac Series 62 convertible coupe was refurbished under prior ownership and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. The car is finished in dark blue with a blue soft top over red leather and is powered by a 346ci V8 linked with a three-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes an Appleton Lorraine spotlight, fog lights, red-painted 15″ steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, a six-volt electric fuel pump, and a push-button AM radio. This Series 62 convertible is now offered in Portland, Oregon, with a clean California title.

Cadillacs were restyled for 1941 with a lower-closing one-piece hood, a rectangular grille with inset parking lights, and headlights set in the fenders. Originally delivered in black (51), this example has been repainted dark blue. Exterior details include a replacement vacuum-operated blue soft top, fog lights, dual-side mirrors, a driver-side Appleton Lorraine spotlight, rear wheel skirts, and a split windshield. The weatherstripping and glass were replaced as part of the refurbishment under prior ownership, and the chrome was re-plated. Paint touch-ups are noted.

Red-painted 15″ steel wheels feature chrome hubcaps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown tires measuring 7.00-15. Braking is provided by hydraulic drums at each corner.

The cabin houses front and rear bench seats that were reupholstered in red leather during the refurbishment, which also saw the car rewired and the panels and carpets replaced. Interior appointments include a woodgrain dash, an analog clock, and a push-button AM radio. The clock does not work, and the seat adjustment handle is not connected.

The steering wheel features a semi-circular horn ring and fronts a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles.

The 346ci Monobloc L-head V8 was factory equipped with a single carburetor and was rated at 150 horsepower when new. It is said to have been rebuilt under prior ownership and is fitted with a six-volt electric fuel pump.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.

Decoding the body plate reveals the following information:

  • Body No: 1370 – Production sequence number
  • Trim No: 83 – Black leather
