This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a fuel-injected 327ci L84 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in Daytona Blue over matching upholstery. Features include a removable hardtop, a white soft top, 15″ steel wheels with three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps, a Positraction differential, an AM radio, and concealed headlights. The car was restored in 2006, refreshed in 2022, and was awarded a Bloomington Gold certificate the same year. Purchased by the current owner in 2022 it is now offered on their behalf with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a car cover, spare parts, a tool kit, NCRS and Bloomington awards, and a clean California title.
The fiberglass body is finished in Daytona Blue (916) and features a removable hardtop and a replacement white convertible soft top as well as flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.
Silver-finished 15” steel wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with 6.70-15 BFGoodrich tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in blue as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci L84 V8 featured Rochester mechanical fuel injection and a high-lift camshaft to produce a factory-rated 360 horsepower.
The engine stamping is shown above. The RF suffix corresponds with a 360-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with a manual transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an optional Positraction differential.
