This Caterham Seven SV Roadsport is a kit-built unit that was ordered by the seller in November 2004 with a Ford SVT Zetec 2.0-liter inline-four and a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission. Finished in Caterham Yellow over black leather upholstery, it also has a limited-slip differential with 3.92:1 gearing, four-wheel disc brakes with four-piston calipers, and a side-exit exhaust system. Items that accompany the vehicle include a carbon-fiber aero screen, a tonneau cover, a soft top, half doors, an ECU flash programmer, a car cover, an open differential with 3.38:1 gearing and other spare parts, and documentation folders. This Seven has 3k miles and is offered with a clean Carfax report and an Idaho title in the seller’s name that lists it as a 2004 model.

The body’s yellow finish is contrasted by a dark grille, fenders, and roll bar. A fender ding is pictured in the gallery below, and some scratches and chipped paint are present around the vehicle. There is noted spider-cracking on the front fiberglass wing, and a replacement wing is said to be included in the sale.

Gray-finished 13″ alloy wheels are wrapped in Nankang AR-1 tires. Adjustable Bilstein front coilovers and De Deion rear suspension are additional elements. The four-wheel disc brakes have been revised with four-piston calipers.

The leather bucket seats have six-point harnesses, and the cockpit features a carbon-fiber dashboard panel.

A Momo steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and air-fuel ratio are mounted centrally along with a Veypor performance data display. The digital odometer indicates 3k miles.

The seller notes that the Ford SVT Zetec 2.0L inline-four has a lightweight flywheel, performance camshafts, silicon hoses, and a lightweight Odyssey AGM battery.

Power is supplied to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.92:1 gearing. A side-exit exhaust system is equipped, and the vehicle does not have a catalytic converter.

In addition to the data plate shown above, the car has a California Bureau of Automotive Repair vehicle information label that is shown in the gallery. Decoding the VIN provides the following information:

  • SDK – Caterham manufacturer
  • L – Left-hand drive configuration
  • D – De Dion axle
  • K – Kit-built unit
  • 5 – Series 5 (SV) design
  • NS – Engine data not supplied
  • 5 – 2005 model year
  • 0050448 – Serial number

The Carfax report is free of accidents or reported damage.

The Idaho title has a Specially Constructed notation.
