This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette was featured in the September 1996 issue of Super Chevy Magazine, and it is powered by a fuel-injected 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It was refinished in maroon with white coves prior to the current owner’s acquisition in 2012, and a body-color hardtop and a white soft top are equipped. Further work under previous ownership included rebuilding the engine and reupholstering the cabin in black vinyl. The car is fitted with a PosiTraction differential, 15″ steel wheels, a heater, and a Wonder Bar AM radio. This C1 Corvette was previously offered on BaT in March 2024 and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner at no reserve with an owner’s manual, an assembly manual, service records, past NCRS awards, and a clean California title.

The car was refinished in maroon with white coves under previous ownership and features a matching removable hardtop as well as a white soft top. Additional exterior equipment includes quad headlights, a driver’s side mirror, and polished bumpers and trim.

The 15″ steel wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and are mounted with BFGoodrich tires measuring 6.70-15. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl. Interior equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater, a Wonder Bar AM radio, and an analog clock.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 283ci V8 is equipped with Rochester mechanical fuel injection and finned aluminum valve covers. The engine was rebuilt in 2002.

A photo of the engine pad stamp is provided in the gallery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction differential.

NCRS awards and two magazines featuring the car from the 1990s are included in the sale.
