This 1979 MG MGB Roadster was acquired by the seller in 2023 following a refurbishment that involved repainting the body in dark green and re-trimming the interior in beige vinyl upholstery. Power is provided by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car has been modified with tubular headers, silver-finished 14″ wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and chrome bumpers with overriders, and additional equipment includes a tan soft top, a luggage rack, door-mounted mirrors, and a heater. This MGB is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, repair manuals, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in dark green and was repainted under previous ownership, at which time a chrome bumper conversion was completed. It features a tan soft top, a trunk-mounted luggage rack, door-mounted mirrors, a black top boot, and bumper overriders. The antenna needs replacement. Rust on the inner trunk lid and paint flaws along the body are noted.

Silver-finished 14″ eight-spoke wheels are mounted with 185/70 Solar 4XS tires with 2017 date codes, and a spare wheel and tire are located in the trunk. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The bucket seats were fitted with beige vinyl covers under previous ownership, at which time the seller notes the interior surfaces were re-dyed. Appointments include a center console with storage under the armrest in addition to a wooden shift knob and a heater. The radio is inoperative, and the right seat belt receptacle needs replacement.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts instrumentation including a tachometer accompanied by a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles. The seller states the clock works intermittently.

The 1.8-liter inline-four is equipped with a single aftermarket carburetor and has been fitted with aftermarket headers and a Pertronix Flame-Thrower ignition coil. The seller reports the heater was repaired in 2023.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery. A fluid leak is noted.
