This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in Rally Red over black leather upholstery and is powered by a replacement 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with a removable hardtop, a black soft top, a limited-slip differential, 15″ steel wheels, power steering, retractable headlights, power windows, an AM/FM radio, and chrome bumpers. The selling dealer acquired the car in April 2024, reportedly from an owner who purchased the vehicle in 1969. This C2 convertible is now offered by the selling dealer with spare parts, service manuals, and a clean Pennsylvania title.

The fiberglass body is finished in Rally Red (UU) and features a body-color removable hardtop and a black soft top. Details include flip-up headlights, chrome bumpers, fender vents, and a retractable antenna. The soft top rear window is yellowed, and photos taken in the various top configurations are provided in the gallery.

The 15″ steel wheels feature faux knock-off covers and are mounted with Hankook Kinergy PT tires that were installed in preparation for the sale. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering.

The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are joined by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, a reverse-lockout shifter, an AM/FM radio, power windows, and lap belts. The analog clock does not work.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles.

The replacement 350ci V8 is said to have been sourced from a 1975 Chevrolet and installed in the 1980s. An oil change was performed and exhaust pipes were replaced in preparation for the sale.

The engine stamping is shown above.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

Decoding the trim tag reveals:

  • Style 65 467 – 1965 Corvette convertible
  • Body S1299 – St. Louis body number
  • Trim 402 – Black leather upholstery
  • Paint UU – Rally Red

Shop manuals and spare parts are included in the sale.
