This 2001 BMW M Roadster was acquired by the seller on BaT in August 2019 and now has 108k miles. It is powered by a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over black Nappa leather. Equipment includes silver-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels, a limited-slip differential, a black convertible soft top, heated sport seats, a CD stereo, a Harman Kardon sound system, air conditioning, and cruise control. This M Roadster is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, a car cover, and Vermont registration.

This M Roadster is one of 79 finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over black Nappa leather for the North American market for the model year. It has a power-operated black convertible soft top, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets. The seller states the third brake light was repaired in 2023. The Carfax report lists an accident in August 2005, and paintwork on the trunk lid, left quarter panel, and replacement hood is noted. Blemishes include flaws on the soft top and window, dings on the hood and right quarter panel, and paint chips along the body.

Silver-finished 17″ Style 40 wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position tires measuring 235/45 up front and 255/40 out back. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control and All-Season Traction (AST), and braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs.

The cabin features black Nappa leather covering the heated sport seats and door panel inserts. Amenities include roll hoops, air conditioning, cruise control, a CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system. The seller reports a BMW mobile phone was added and the rearview mirror was repaired under current ownership.

The M-branded leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 108k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The oil temperature gauge is said to work intermittently. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.

The 3.2-liter S54B32 inline-six features double-VANOS variable valve timing and a Siemens MSS 54 engine management control system. Output was factory rated at 315 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The engine photos were taken in September 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
