This 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible underwent a refurbishment that was completed in 2020 and involved a repaint in Torch Red, a refresh of the black interior, an overhaul of the 389ci V8, and the installation of a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. The car is also equipped with a triple-carburetor induction setup, a limited-slip differential, power steering, Wilwood front disc brakes, and Rally II-style wheels as well as a black soft top, a retro-style head unit, a Hurst shifter, and air conditioning. Acquired by the seller in 2024, this GTO is now offered with Pontiac Historic Services documentation, refurbishment records, a car cover, and Georgia registration.

The car left the factory finished in Blue Charcoal and was repainted in Torch Red as part of the refurbishment. It is equipped with a replacement black convertible top, stacked headlights, a hood scoop, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers and trim. Areas of glue on the soft top are noted.

Rally II-style 15” reproduction wheels wear PMD-branded center caps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted Wilwood front discs and rear drums.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in black vinyl. Appointments include a center console, power windows, a Hurst shifter, air conditioning, and a retro-style head unit linked to Kenwood speakers housed in the kick panels.

The replacement woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary readouts. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The retrofitted 389ci V8 was overhauled in 2020 and is equipped with a triple-carburetor induction setup, a Derale radiator, and a serpentine belt system.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO five-speed manual transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. A revised driveshaft is fitted.

Decoding the trim tag reveals the following information:
