This 1988 Saab 900 Turbo convertible is one of a reported 288 Springtime in Sweden examples produced for the model year and spent most of its time in New Hampshire following the seller’s acquisition circa 1989. Finished in black over gray leather, the car is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ three-spoke wheels, fog lights, front and rear spoilers, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, power windows, and heated front bucket seats. This 900 Turbo now has 174k miles and is offered on dealer consignment at no reserve in Massachusetts with New Hampshire registration.

Springtime in Sweden examples were finished in black and equipped with SPG-style lower-body cladding. The car was equipped with a replacement black soft top in 2021 and also has front and rear spoilers and fog lights. The Carfax report lists damage to the car in July 2006, which the selling dealer states resulted in damage to the front bumper cover that is shown in the gallery below. The driver-side floor pan is said to have been replaced in 2021, and the right taillight assembly was also replaced at that time. The seller notes that the left front fender has been replaced and the left side of the vehicle has been repainted.

Silver-finished 15″ three-spoke wheels are mounted with 195/60 Hankook tires. Factory equipment included power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and braking is handled by discs at each corner. The brake fluid, right outer CV boot, right tie rod, rear upper control arm bushings, and shocks were replaced in 2021.

The heated front bucket seats and rear bench have been re-trimmed in gray leather, and interior appointments include an Alpine AM/FM/cassette stereo, a center console, air conditioning, and power windows.

A plaque affixed to the dash indicates that the car is one of the Springtime in Sweden examples produced for the 1988 model year.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 130-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as gauges for boost pressure, engine temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 174k miles, approximately 172k of which were added under current ownership.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter 16-valve DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2021 involved replacing the starter motor, radiator hoses, and battery. Areas of rust in the engine bay are noted.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Rust on underside components is shown in the gallery below.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned damage report.

The car does not have a title as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its New Hampshire registration, which is expired.
