This 1969 Pontiac Firebird underwent a cosmetic refurbishment that was completed in 2019 and is powered by a fuel-injected 455ci V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Work following the seller’s 2023 acquisition involved installing the fuel-injection system, an aluminum radiator, and an electric fan. The car has been refinished in white with blue stripes and fitted with a replacement white soft top and a dual-scoop hood, while the interior has been re-trimmed in blue. Additional features include a retro-style head unit, a center console, and front bucket seats as well as a hood-mounted tachometer, a rear wing, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 15″ Rally II-style wheels. This Firebird is now offered with the owner’s manual and a clean Iowa title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in its current combination of white with blue stripes in 2019, and it has a replacement white soft top and a dual-scoop hood. Additional equipment includes quad round headlights, dual side mirrors, a rear wing, and Trans Am badging. The windshield wipers do not work.

Rally II-style 15″ wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The front bucket seats and rear bench have been re-trimmed in blue vinyl, which is complemented by color-coordinated carpets. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and center console, and the car has a retro-style head unit.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. A tachometer is mounted on the hood. The five-digit odometer shows 35k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.

The seller reports that the 455ci V8 was installed in 1999 and that the FiTech fuel injection system, aluminum radiator, electric fan, and replacement thermostat were installed in 2023. An Edelbrock intake manifold is fitted.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The transmission pan gasket and the speedometer gear seal were replaced in 2023, per the seller. Leaks at the engine and transmission are noted.

Decoding the trim tag provides the following information:

  • 69-22367 – 1969 convertible
  • LOS505199 – Los Angeles assembly; body number
  • 214 – Red upholstery
  • 52 – Matador Red paint
