This 1962 Cadillac Series 62 convertible is said to have been purchased new in Denver, Colorado, and was acquired was acquired by the seller in 2003. Finished in white with a white soft top over red leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 390ci V8 paired with a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission. The upholstery was retrimmed in January 2024, the engine was rebuilt in November 2022, and the convertible top was replaced around 2017. This Series 62 convertible is now offered in California at no reserve with an Idaho title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in white, and the seller states that rusted areas behind the front wheel wells have been repaired and repainted. The power-operated tan soft top and the hydraulics of the top motor reportedly were replaced around 2017. Equipment includes a red top boot, rear fender skirts, quad headlamps, chrome bumpers, and tail fins. A badge from Jack Kent Cadillac of Denver, Colorado, is affixed to the trunk. Some trim is tarnished, and the seller notes corrosion near body seams, on the underside of the hood, and on the rear bumper.
Steel 15″ wheels with Cadillac-logo covers are mounted with Hankook Optimo H727 whitewall tires. The wheel covers exhibit corrosion. The car has power steering and power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.
The seating surfaces were reupholstered in red leather in January 2024. Equipment includes a power-adjustable front bench seat, a fold-down front armrest, red carpeting, black floor mats, a heater/defroster, power windows, a push-button AM radio, and an electric clock. The passenger visor mirror was replaced in April 2024. Imperfections pictured in the gallery below include peeling and tarnished trim. The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for engine temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.
The 390ci V8 was rebuilt along with the four-barrel carburetor in November 2022. The oil was changed most recently in August 2023.
