This 2001 Mercedes-Benz SL500 was first delivered to Mercedes-Benz of Nanuet in New York, has 33k miles, and was purchased by its current owner in November 2020. Finished in Firemist Red Metallic over Java Nappa leather, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes the AMG Styling Package, a removable hardtop, a black soft top, 18″ five-spoke AMG wheels, fog lights, heated power-adjustable seats, a Sony head unit, a Bose sound system, a wind deflector, and automatic climate control. This R129 is now offered on dealer consignment with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Oregon title.

The car is finished in Firemist Red Metallic (548) and features a matching removable hardtop as well as a black soft top. Additional exterior equipment includes fog lights, fender air vents, and the AMG Styling Package, which added revised bumper covers and aerodynamic side skirts. The Carfax report indicates the car was “hit while parked” in June 2002, resulting in damage to the front. Photos showing paint-meter readings are included in the gallery.

The 18″ five-spoke AMG wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that were fitted in May 2023. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The brake fluid was changed in January 2023.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable seats upholstered in Java Nappa leather along with burl wood accents on the doors and center stack. Amenities include a deployable roll bar, seat position memory, a Sony head unit, a Bose sound system, a heated rear hardtop window, a wind deflector, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The leather upholstery was touched up in March 2024.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, fuel economy, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 33k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.0-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. The fuel filter was replaced in January 2023. Photos showing cylinder compression readings are included in the gallery.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. The transmission pan gasket was replaced in January 2023.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Mercedes-Benz of Nanuet in New York, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total retail price of $86,065.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident.
