This 1932 Plymouth Model PB is one of 690 two-door convertible sedans produced for the model year and was refurbished several decades ago before it was purchased by the seller in 2021. The car is finished in blue with black fenders and beltline trim over brown upholstery, and power comes from a 196ci inline-four paired with a three-speed sliding-gear manual transmission with a freewheeling function. Equipment includes 18″ wire-spoke wheels, dual side-mount spares, rear-hinged doors, a tan soft top, removable B-pillars, a hood ornament, a rear luggage trunk, a rear-view mirror with an inset clock, and an engine-turned instrument panel. This Plymouth is now offered with literature and a Washington title in the seller’s name.
The Briggs-built body was repainted in blue with black fenders and beltline accents approximately 40 years ago, and it features chrome bumpers and windshield trim, dual horns, a hood ornament, yellow pinstriping, running boards, rear-hinged doors, a tan soft top, removable B-pillars, a rear locking luggage trunk, and dual taillights. Imperfections in the finish can be seen in the gallery below.
Cream-painted wire-spoke wheels wear chrome Plymouth hubcaps, and they are mounted with 5.50–18 Firestone bias-ply whitewall tires. Dual spare wheels are stowed in the front fenders. The Model PB rode on a 112″ wheelbase and featured semi-elliptical leaf springs at both ends. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in brown pleated upholstery along with color-matched door panels. Tan carpets line the floors, and additional equipment includes a rear-view mirror with an inset Phinney-Walker clock, door storage pockets, and a marble shift knob.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a painted steel dash and an engine-turned panel housing a barrel-type speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 3,500 miles, approximately 300 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 196ci inline-four features three main bearings and a Ball & Ball carburetor, and it was factory rated at 65 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. A replacement oil pan gasket was installed under the seller’s ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed sliding-gear transmission with a free–wheeling function.
The Washington title carries a Classic brand.
