This 1969 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Drophead Coupe is said to have remained with the family of its original owner until the seller’s acquisition in 1996. A subsequent refurbishment over several years involved repainting the car in black, refreshing the leather upholstery, and overhauling the convertible-top lift system, the brakes, and the self-leveling rear suspension. Power comes from a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes wheel covers, burl wood trim, air conditioning, power windows, and a Philips AM/FM radio. Now showing 43k miles, this Silver Shadow is offered with refurbishment photos and a Kansas title in the seller’s name.

The Silver Shadow Drophead Coupe was produced by Mulliner Park Ward, and the rocker panels of this example were repaired before a repaint in black with red pinstriping under current ownership. The lift mechanisms for the black soft top were rebuilt, and exterior details include a stainless-steel grille, a Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, and chrome bumpers with overriders.

Steel 15” wheels wear color-keyed covers and are mounted with Michelin Symmetry whitewall tires. The self-leveling hydropneumatic rear suspension was licensed from Citroën, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs; both systems were overhauled under current ownership.

The black leather seats are complemented by a color-coordinated dash pad, door panels, and carpets. Burl wood veneer trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Additional amenities include air conditioning, a Philips AM/FM push-button radio, and power windows.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 130-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership.

The 6.2-liter V8 is equipped with dual SU carburetors.

Power is distributed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The transmission-pan gasket and filter were reportedly replaced in 2023. The muffler requires repair or replacement, per the seller.

The current Kansas title is noted as a replacement.
