This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette was purchased by the seller on BaT in June 2021 and is powered by a fuel-injected 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was refinished in red over black vinyl under previous ownership and features include a black soft top, 15″ steel wheels, a dual exhaust system, and a Hurst shifter. Work under current ownership has included rebuilding the transmission, a tune-up, and replacing the clutch, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, wheel bearings, and thermostat. This C1 Corvette is now offered with recent service records and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a Hurst shifter, and an analog clock. The Wonder Bar AM radio does not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 was factory equipped with Rochester mechanical fuel injection and a high-lift camshaft for a rating of 360 horsepower when new. The engine is said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership, and work under current ownership included replacing the thermostat and lower intake and the valve cover gaskets in 2021 and replacing the distributor cap and rotor, the points and condenser, and the spark plugs in 2023. The fuel pump was rebuilt in preparation for the sale.
The stamping on the engine pad ends in 104895, which matches the final digits of the car’s chassis number. The RF suffix at the right side of the pad indicates a 360-horsepower 327ci V8 with fuel injection for use with a manual transmission in a 1962 Corvette.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. The transmission was rebuilt and the clutch was replaced in February 2022.
