This 1962 Daimler SP250 is said to have had its fluids drained before being placed into storage for years under previous ownership, and it was acquired by the seller in 2023. Subsequent work involved adjusting the carburetors, filling and flushing various fluids, installing a used fuel pump, a Lucas ignition coil, and spark plugs as well as cleaning and repairing the radiator and replacing the fuel lines, brake and clutch hoses, steering and control arm bushings, ball joints, and exhaust clamps. Equipment includes 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, dual SU carburetors, a tan soft soft top, fender-mounted side mirrors, a heater, and a Toyota AM/FM radio. Previously listed on BaT in March 2024, this SP250 is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the owner, a licensed retail dealer, with recent service records and a clean Colorado title.

The fiberglass bodywork is said to have been refinished in white under previous ownership. Exterior details include a tan soft top, fender-mounted side mirrors, chrome bumpers with overriders, and a dual exhaust system. A tan top boot is included in the sale. The listing photos were taken early in 2024.

Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with older 165-series Semperito Hi-Life M501 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and Austin-Healey calipers have reportedly been fitted up front. The brake lines were replaced and the fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale. The front ball joints, steering bushings, and control arm bushings were also replaced.

The seats are trimmed in worn black upholstery complemented by a black dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include a heater, a Toyota AM/FM radio, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, front lap belts, and manual crank windows.

A three-spoke steering wheel has wear and sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 7k-rpm tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer, both of which are said to have been rebuilt in preparation for the sale. Auxiliary gauges and toggle switches for vehicle functions are found in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.5-liter V8 is equipped with dual SU carburetors that were adjusted in November 2023. Additional work at that time involved installing a Hayden fan mounting kit, a used fuel pump, a Lucas ignition coil, and spark plugs as well as replacing the fuel lines and cleaning and repairing the radiator. The electrical system has been converted to negative ground.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch hydraulic hose and the gearbox and differential fluids were replaced in November 2023. Exhaust clamps were also replaced at that time.

The body tag shows 737-1287, and the Colorado title lists a VIN of 7371287. The title is branded “Classic PA.”
