This 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio was reportedly sold new at European Motor Sales in Bethesda, Maryland, and is said to have remained under prior ownership for approximately 22 years before it was acquired by the current owner in 2024. Now showing 62k miles, the car is powered by a 2.0L twin-cam inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It is finished in Nero Pastello over Slate Gray leather upholstery and equipped with a limited-slip differential, 15″ 12-hole light alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a black convertible soft top, a removable hardtop, a rear spoiler, a Panasonic stereo, and power windows. Work performed under current ownership has included replacing the flywheel, clutch, clutch cylinders, tie rods, shocks, tires, and driveshaft support bearing. This S3 Spider Quadrifoglio is offered in Virginia by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Carfax report and a clean Maryland title in the owner’s name.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork was finished from the factory in Nero Pastello (914) with red and gray pinstripes. It features a black convertible soft top, a removable hardtop, a front air dam, body-color ground effects, and a rear spoiler. Various body panels have been refinished, and the soft top is worn. There is a paint flaw at the front edge of the hood and scratches present on the hardtop, close-up photographs of which are shown in the gallery below. The power mirrors are inoperative.

The 15″ 12-hole light alloy wheels are mounted with Landsail LS388 tires that have 2021 date codes. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner. The tie rods, A-frame bushings, and shocks were replaced under current ownership, per the seller.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in Slate Gray leather with red stitching, and amenities include a Panasonic CD stereo, power windows, vent windows, and a digital clock. The drain hoses have been replaced. The air conditioning does not blow cold, and the seller notes cracks on the front of the passenger seat cushion.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four features Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection for a factory rating of 115 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The flywheel, clutch, and rear main seal were reportedly replaced under prior ownership. The seller states that the transmission fluid and differential fluid were changed and the clutch cylinders and driveshaft support bearing were replaced in September 2024.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage from its first entry in October 1993.
