This 1963 Triumph TR4 is a running-and-driving project that was acquired out of New York by the seller in 2021. Powered by a 2,138cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in blue over black vinyl. Equipment includes dual SU carburetors, black wire wheels, front disc brakes, a luggage rack, black bumpers, a woodgrain dashboard, and lap belts. The black convertible top, the starter, and the oil-pan gasket reportedly were replaced under current ownership, and the wheels and the bumpers were repainted. The seller notes that the car would benefit from bodywork and attention to the wiring and other details. This TR4 is now offered with Georgia registration in the seller’s name.

The car is said to have been repainted in a Toyota shade of blue under prior ownership. The seller replaced the black convertible top, painted the bumpers black, and fitted a homemade luggage rack. The headlights are taped, and removable door roundels are pictured in some of the gallery photos provided below. Other equipment includes dual side mirrors, a flip-up fuel-filler cap, and a tonneau cover. Leather-style hood-securing decorative straps have been installed to cover holes that previously were drilled for hood pins. The bumper-mounted driving lights are not wired. Accident damage is evident at the passenger-side front of the vehicle, and the bumper has been hammered out. The seller notes flaws in the paint, dents, and rust; also, the front body gaps are uneven, and body filler has been used to repair the rocker panels. The tonneau cover exhibits wear, the passenger-side turn-signal lens is missing, the windshield is scored from the wipers, and the windshield weatherstripping is cracked.

Black-painted 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 165-series radial tires; a wire wheel without a tire is located in the trunk. The right-front tire is unevenly worn at its outer edge. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The parking brake is inoperable.

The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl. The woodgrain dashboard shows mismatched finishes. The horn controller has been relocated to be under the dash. An inoperable Kenwood CD stereo is fitted in the dash. The seller states that the carpeting should be replaced or reglued, the glovebox also should be replaced, and the passenger-side A-pillar trim is missing.

The banjo-style steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are positioned at center dash alongside a Lucas ammeter. The five-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown.

The 2,138cc inline-four is complemented by dual SU carburetors and a chrome-finished valve cover. A lightweight starter was installed in June 2024, according to the seller, who also replaced the oil-pan gasket. Oil leaks are noted, and the wiring should be addressed, per the seller.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller indicates that the front frame support appears to be aftermarket or homemade, and patch panels are evident in the front wheel wells.

The car’s commission number is CT19642L, whereas the vehicle is registered under its body number 19848 but omitting the “CT” suffix shown on the tag above.
