This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a fuel-injected 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over black vinyl. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, a black soft top, and 15″ steel wheels with white-stripe tires. The current owner inherited the car from his grandfather, the long-term previous owner. This C1 Corvette is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a clean California title.

The car is finished in red and features a matching removable hardtop as well as a black soft top. Additional features include quad headlights and polished bumpers and trim. Close-up photos of the paint and trim can be found in the gallery.

The 15″ steel wheels feature covers with simulated knock-off spinners and are mounted with white-stripe tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl. Interior equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror and an analog clock.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows around 1,200 miles.

The 283ci V8 is equipped with Rochester mechanical fuel injection.

The stamping on the engine pad is shown above. The CS suffix is consistent with a fuel-injected 283ci V8 rated at 315 horsepower and designated for a 1961 Corvette with a manual transmission.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
