1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Convertible 4-Speed

This 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa convertible was refurbished under prior ownership, and the factory Mist Blue over fawn vinyl pairing was changed to red over black vinyl upholstery. The car is powered by a rear-mounted 164ci Turbo-Air flat-six mated with a four-speed manual transaxle and equipment includes a white convertible soft top, 13″ steel wheels with simulated wire wheel covers and faux knock-off hubs, a telescopic antenna, front bucket seats, a padded dashboard, an AM radio, a heater, and a windshield defroster. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2022. This Corvair Corsa convertible is now offered with the manufacturer’s literature, a Concours ribbon, and a clean Missouri title.

The car was originally finished in Mist Blue (D) and was repainted in red under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes a replacement white convertible soft top, quad headlights and taillights, a telescopic antenna, and bright bumpers.

The 13″ steel wheels feature simulated wire wheel covers and knock-off hubs and are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion tires. The Corvair utilized a fully independent suspension, and stopping power is provided by front and rear drum brakes.

The factory fawn upholstery was re-trimmed in black vinyl under prior ownership. Interior appointments include a padded dashboard, a heater, a windshield defroster, an AM radio, and rubber floor mats.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, manifold pressure, and cylinder head temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 85k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The rear-mounted, air-cooled 164ci Turbo-Air flat-six features four single-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 140 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Replacement mufflers have been fitted.
