This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in Mille Miglia Red over black leather and is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a Positraction rear end, a white convertible top, 15″ Rally wheels, heavy-duty Bilstein shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, retractable headlights, an alarm system, a cabin heater, and an AM/FM stereo. The seller purchased the car in 2009 and has since replaced the windshield wiper motor, power steering pump, starter, spark plugs, plug wires, drive belts, and U-joints. This C3 Corvette is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.

The car was repainted in Mille Miglia Red during previous ownership, and the white soft top has two snags and is discolored in places. The windshield wiper motor was replaced in 2023. Close-up photos of the paintwork, including shots of several blemishes, can be found in the gallery.

The 15″ Rally wheels are mounted with 255/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, and the car is equipped with fully independent rear suspension, power steering, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Front and rear heavy-duty Bilstein shocks were added in 2010. Service in 2024 involved replacing the power steering pump, control valve, hoses, and fluid.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black leather along with woodgrain trim on the center console and door panels. Amenities include an alarm system, a cabin heater, and an AM/FM stereo. The seller notes that the carpets are faded.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline. A clock and an ammeter are mounted in the center stack along with gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 24k of which were added under current ownership.

The 350ci V8 was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. The carburetor was rebuilt in June 2010 by Cliff’s High Performance of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and the seller states that the vacuum system was also overhauled in 2010. Work performed since 2024 has included replacing the starter, spark plugs, plug wires, and drive belts.

The engine stamping’s CJL suffix is consistent with a 270hp V8 for use with manual transmissions.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end. Maintenance in 2023 included changing the transmission gear oil and replacing the tail shaft bushing, the tail shaft seal, and U-joints. Differential fluid and Posi additive were also changed at this time.
