This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a fuel-injected 327ci V8 that was overhauled with a replacement block as part of a refurbishment in the 1970s and is backed by a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. Service following the seller’s 2020 acquisition has included servicing the fuel injection system, overhauling the differential, and replacing the water pump, tires, valve cover gaskets, and front shocks. The car is finished in black over a matching interior and is equipped with 15″ steel wheels, a heater, and a fire extinguisher. This C1 Corvette is now offered with service records from current ownership and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was refurbished in the 1970s and refinished in black with matching coves. The seller notes that the car was ordered without a soft top and that the weatherstripping was replaced in 2020. The right windshield wiper does not work, and paint cracks and blemishes are noted.
Steel 15″ wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and are mounted with Cooper Trendsetter SE tires that were installed in 2020. The front shocks were also replaced at that time.
The two bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl, and the cabin also houses a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a heater, and a fire extinguisher located behind the seats. The Wonder Bar AM radio does not receive signals, and the analog clock is not accurate. The turn signal canceling switch was replaced in 2022.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary readouts, including an inaccurate fuel-level gauge. The speedometer was repaired in 2023, and the tachometer cable was replaced in 2022. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 received a replacement block in the 1970s and is fitted with Rochester fuel injection. Service since 2020 has involved repairing the fuel tank and fuel injection system, fitting an electric choke, and replacing the water pump, fuel sending unit, spark plugs, and valve cover gaskets.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential that was overhauled in 2020.
A service guide, documentation, and photos showing prior refurbishment work are included in the sale.
