This Classic Roadsters Sebring Healey 5000 is an Austin-Healey 3000 replica that spent time in Texas, Arizona, and California before the seller’s acquisition on BaT in February 2022. It is powered by a 350ci L82 V8 paired with a three-speed TH350 automatic transmission and is finished in red over tan and black upholstery. Equipment includes an Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum radiator, tubular headers, a coilover suspension, front disc brakes, 15″ Cragar-style wheels, chrome bumpers, a cabin heater, sport seats, wood trim, and a cassette stereo. Work in preparation for the sale is said to have included changing the fluids, servicing the ignition system, and replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter, and battery.  This Sebring 5000 is offered at no reserve with purchase documentation, build photos, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name listing the vehicle as a 1988 Classic.

The fiberglass bodywork is finished in red and features faux hood louvers, flared wheel arches, door-mounted side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. Close-up photos presented in the gallery show chipped fiberglass and blemishes in the paint as well as a chip in the windshield. A removed soft top and tonneau cover are included in the sale.

Chrome-finished 15″ Cragar-style wheels are mounted with older BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with visible cracks on the sidewalls. The car rides on an adjustable coilover suspension and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The brake fluid was flushed under current ownership.

The replacement bolstered sport seats are trimmed in tan vinyl with hexagonal-stitch inserts contrasted by a black dash pad, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include a cabin heater, a B&M shifter, crank windows, lap belts, and a JVC cassette stereo.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a wood dashboard that houses VDO instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 16k miles, less than 100 of which have been added during current ownership. The horn does not work.

The 350ci L82 V8 features a Milodon oil pan, a Weiand Stealth intake manifold, a Howe aluminum radiator, tubular headers, and an Edelbrock carburetor with a ribbed air cleaner cover and matching valve covers. Work under current ownership reportedly included cleaning the fuel tank and lines and replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter, battery, distributor rotor and cap, ignition wires, and spark plugs. The car is plumbed for air conditioning, but the compressor has been removed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TH350 automatic transmission. Shifting into drive and reverse can be difficult.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas and Arizona from the initial entry in December 2001.
