This 2001 Panoz Esperante is finished in metallic red over beige leather and is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black convertible top, a dual exhaust system, four-wheel independent suspension, 17″ BBS RX alloy wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a CD stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. The seller purchased the car in 2023 and has since added approximately 1,600 of the 106k miles shown. This Esperante is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, and a clean California title.

The Esperante’s superplastic-formed aluminum body panels are mounted over a modular extruded-aluminum chassis equipped with bonded and bolted steel subframes. This example has been refinished in metallic red and features a power-retractable black convertible top, fender vents, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The trunk lid struts were replaced in 2023.

The 17″ BBS RX alloy wheels are mounted with 245/55 Continental Extreme Contact tires manufactured in 2023. The car is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension, and stopping power is provided by cross-drilled and ventilated discs at each corner. The ABS module is broken. The seller notes that the front sway bar was replaced in 2023 and that service in 2024 included changing the brake fluid, replacing the rear brake pads, and turning the rear rotors.

The bucket seats are upholstered in beige leather that extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Cabin amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a CD stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. The mirror adjustment switch was replaced in 2023 and the seatbelts were replaced in 2024.

The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts centrally mounted instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 106k miles, approximately 1,600 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.6-liter Ford Modular V8 was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The coolant overflow tank and coolant level sensor were replaced in 2023 and the oil was changed in August 2024.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. The report also contains a mileage reading of 150k at a September 2024 emissions inspection, though the seller believes this is a clerical error. The car passed an emissions test in October 2024 and the paperwork lists 105,723 miles.
