This 1951 MG TD was refurbished in 2005 with an overhaul of the 1,250cc XPAG inline-four and a repaint in green. Work in 2023 included refreshing the four-speed manual transmission and replacing the fuel tank and valve cover. The beige leather upholstery is complemented by a tan soft top, top boot, and tonneau cover, and the car also has 15″ silver-finished steel wheels, a louvered hood, chrome bumpers, driving lights, fender-mounted side mirrors, rally watches, Brooklands windscreens, and a folding windshield. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this TD is now offered in New York with the owner’s manual, service records, and an Ohio title.

The car was refinished in its current shade of green following bodywork and repairs to the right door and rear fender during the refurbishment and is fitted with a tan folding soft top, top boot, and tonneau cover. In 2023, rubber on the running boards and various relays were replaced. The car also has a louvered hood, a folding windshield, Brooklands windscreens, driving lights, fender-mounted side mirrors, wind wings, and chrome bumpers with overriders.

The 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with Lee Metric tires, and a spare wheel and tire are affixed to the rear. Braking is handled by drums at each corner. In 2016, the rear axle seals were replaced. The brakes were serviced in 2023 with a replacement master cylinder, front wheel cylinders, and brake fluid.

The cabin houses a split bench seat trimmed in beige leather, and amenities include a passenger-side grab handle, map pockets, lap belts, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The shift lever and knob were replaced and interior trim was polished in 2023.

The banjo-style steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock, while auxiliary readouts are housed in the center of the dashboard. Instrumentation was refreshed and rally watches were installed on the glovebox in 2023. The speedometer cable was also replaced at that time. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 54 horsepower. The engine was overhauled in 2005, and work in 2016 included repairing the water pump mount threads, valve cover threads, and the radiator as well as replacing the water pump and pulley, muffler, and spark plugs. The fuel tank was replaced in 2023 along with the valve cover and tappet covers.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission that was fitted with replacement bearings, seals, and gaskets in 2023. A stainless-steel exhaust system is fitted.

The current Ohio title carries a “Non-Actual: Warning Odometer Discrepancy” notation.
