This 1999 Porsche Boxster is a triple-black example that remained registered in California until 2021, and it now has 44k miles. It is powered by a 2.5-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes a convertible soft top, a 997 GT3-specification shifter, 18″ Turbo-look wheels, a deployable rear spoiler, a Hi-Fi sound system, and cruise control. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this 986 Boxster is now offered in New York with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title.

The car is finished in black with a black soft top, a speed-activated rear spoiler, side air intakes, and body-color roll hoops.

The 18″ Turbo-look wheels are mounted with General G-Max tires with date codes from 2023. Multiple wheels have blemishes. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded calipers fitted over vented rotors at all four corners. The brake pads were replaced in preparation for the sale.

The cabin features seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. A 997 GT3-specification shifter was installed in May 2023, and features include cruise control, a Hi-Fi sound system, a glass wind deflector, a Becker-Porsche CDR-220 stereo, and automatic climate control.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a central tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 44k miles.

The mid-mounted 2.5-liter M96 flat-six was factory rated at 201 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. An LN Engineering dual-row IMS bearing was installed in May 2022 and the starter was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle, the clutch components for which were replaced in May 2022, at which time the flywheel was also resurfaced.
