This 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380SL was first registered in New Jersey and has spent time in Illinois and North Carolina, and it now shows 66k miles following the seller’s purchase in 2022. The car is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in China Blue over blue leather upholstery. Equiptment includes a blue soft top, a removable hardtop, 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, fog lights, a Becker cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, and automatic climate control. Work performed since 2022 is said to have included replacing the starter, fuel injectors, warm-up regulator, and fuel distributor. This R107 is offered with partial service records, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in China Blue (934) and features a color-matched removable hardtop and a blue convertible soft top. Additional exterior equipment includes quad headlights, fog lights, a power antenna, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim. The rear soft top window is clouded, and the hardtop seals were replaced under current ownership. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

Silver 14″ Bundt alloy wheels are fitted with Hankook Kinergy tires that were mounted in 2021. The car was factory-equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The shocks were replaced under current ownership, per the seller.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in blue leather along with a matching center console and door panels. Interior features include a Becker cassette stereo, electric windows, central locking, and automatic climate control. The dashboard is cracked, and the antenna switch does not work.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including an 85-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 66k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.8-liter V8 was factory rated at 155 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced in 2020, and the starter, fuel injectors, warm-up regulator, and fuel distributor were replaced in 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.

Manufacturer’s literature will accompany the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents and other damage.
