This 2004 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is #158 of a reported 200 examples of the 1953 Commemorative Edition models produced by Advanced Automotive Technologies of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and now has 20k miles. The build involved fitting replacement C1-style body panels, and the car is finished in silver with a black convertible soft top over black leather. Power is provided by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Features include retro-style engine covers, Active Handling, 17″ and 18″ alloy wheels, power-adjustable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, and a CD stereo paired with a Bose sound system. Acquired by the seller in 2021, this C1-style C5 Corvette is now offered with an owner’s manual, service records, a Corvette indoor car cover and bag, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.

The “1953 Commemorative Edition” conversion by Advanced Automotive Technologies included replacing the body panels with C1-style bodywork using the factory attachment points. This car is finished in Medium Spiral Gray Metallic and features a black soft top, chrome bumpers and trim, retro-style lights and badges, bright headlight grilles, power-adjustable side mirrors, and quad exhaust outlets.

Polished 17″ and 18″ alloy wheels were mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires in 2020 and are said to have accrued less than 3k miles of wear. The car is equipped with Active Handling and traction control, and braking is handled by red-finished calipers over a ventilated rotor at each corner.

The power-adjustable bucket seats are trimmed in black leather with Corvette embroidery on the backrests. Appointments include driver position memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, a carpeted dash mat, “Commemorative Edition 1953” sill plates, and a CD stereo linked to a Bose sound system. A plaque on the “waterfall” panel between the seats identifies this car as 1953 Commemorative Edition #158.

The black and gray leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. A head-up display projects critical information onto the windshield. The digital odometer indicates 20k miles, less than 3k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was factory rated at 350 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque and features retro-style ignition coil covers. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic gearbox and a limited-slip differential.

The Carfax report shows no accidents and other damage.
