This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in white over blue leather upholstery. The car was factory-equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. The idler arm, tie rods, pitman arm, drag links, and steering damper were replaced in 2021.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in blue leather along with a matching center console and door panels. Interior equipment includes a Sony head unit with Bluetooth connectivity, electric windows, central locking, cruise control, and automatic climate control. There is wear on the driver’s seat.
The two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 2,200 of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in a July 2002 entry as well as a potential odometer rollback in November 2012. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. Work performed in 2021 is said to have included replacing the fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, fuel pump, crankshaft seal, distributor cap, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil, and oil pan gasket.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission fluid and differential fluid were changed in 2021.
