This 1990 Ford Mustang is one of 4,103 7-Up Edition vehicles produced for the model year and now shows 36k miles. It was initially sold in California and remained registered in the state until the selling dealer’s purchase in 2023 from the family of the reported original owner. The car is powered by a 302ci V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential and is finished in Deep Emerald Green Metallic over white leather. Equipment includes the Handling Suspension Package, a white convertible top, front disc brakes, 15″ steel wheels, a luggage rack, air conditioning, cruise control, and a cassette stereo. Work under current ownership included rebuilding the automatic transmission and replacing the starter solenoid and two window motors. This 7-Up-Edition Mustang is offered by the selling dealer with recent service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The 7-Up editions were intended to be used as promotional giveaways during the 1990 NCAA basketball championship. The promotion was canceled, but Ford opted to produce matching models and make them available for sale to the public. Each example was finished in Deep Emerald Green Metallic (PA) with a white convertible top. Additional features include a fixed antenna, power-adjustable side mirrors, and a rear luggage rack.

Factory 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with older Performance Steel Radial tires. The car is equipped with a Handling Suspension Package that features variable-rate springs and a Quadra-shock rear setup along with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The front sport seats and a rear bench are upholstered in white leather. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a factory cassette stereo. Two window motors were replaced in preparation for the sale, and wear is visible on the driver seat bolster.

The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles.

The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The starter solenoid was replaced under current ownership, and the car passed a California emissions test in December 2023. A radiator leak is noted on a November 2023 service invoice.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission was rebuilt in November 2023.

The Carfax report is free of accidents and other damage and lists history in California from the initial entry in July 1992.
