Power is provided by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. The car has spent time in Ohio and Texas and now has 67k miles. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this 986 Boxster S is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Texas title.
The car is finished in Guards Red and features Aerokit-style lower bodywork as well as an aftermarket fixed rear spoiler and tinted clear front side marker lenses. Other exterior details comprise a power-operated black soft top as well as a speed-activated rear spoiler, side air intakes, and body-color roll hoops. The convertible top is misaligned with the right window.
Aftermarket 18″ twist-style alloy wheels are mounted with Toyo Proxes R888R tires. Multiple wheels have blemishes. The car was ordered with 030 sport suspension with a 10mm lower ride height. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded calipers fitted over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Brake pad replacement is noted on the Carfax report in March 2024.
The aftermarket Recaro bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and microsuede, and other interior features include a body-color-painted center console, a Hi-Fi sound system, cruise control, a Kenwood CD stereo, aftermarket pedals, and an aluminum-trimmed shifter and handbrake handle. The climate control displays are damaged.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 67k miles.
The mid-mounted 3.2L flat-six was factory rated at 250 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque.
A sticker on the passenger door notes that an LN Engineering IMS bearing has been installed, and tracing the serial number reveals that a single-row classic IMS retrofit kit was installed in April 2015 at 26k miles by Motorwerks Autogroup.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle, the clutch for which was replaced in April 2015, per the Carfax report. An aftermarket exhaust system is installed.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage and notes at least one recall.
