This 1963 Buick Wildcat Convertible was acquired by the seller in 1982 and was used as the seller’s first vehicle. Subsequent work consisted of repainting the body, replacing the convertible top, thermostat, and exhaust system, and installing a set of tires. Finished in white over red vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 401ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated black convertible top, a rear ball hitch, power windows, remote mirror control, power steering and drum brakes, and 15″ steel wheels with turbine-style covers. This Wildcat convertible is offered with spare parts, literature, and a clean Washington state title.

The car was repainted in white approximately 20 years ago and details include a replacement power-operated black convertible top, Wildcat badging, faux fender vents, chrome bumpers and trim, and polished dual exhaust outlets. Paint and body blemishes are displayed in the gallery.

The 15″ steel wheels wear factory covers and are wrapped in Nexen N Priz NH5 narrow-whitewall tires that were installed in preparation for the sale. The car is equipped with power steering and braking is handled by power-assisted drums. The seller notes that the steering box is sloppy and requires a rebuild.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in red vinyl upholstery joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a center console, bright trim, Buick-branded rubber floormats, power windows, and lap belts. The interior exhibits wear, the radio plays static, and the left corner of the glovebox is damaged.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge. A 6k-rpm Buick tachometer is mounted in the center console forward of the gear selector. The odometer indicates 15k miles, and the seller notes that it has rolled over. Approximately 56k miles were added under current ownership and the total mileage is unknown.

The 401ci V8 is fed via a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 325 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. Work in September 2024 is said to consist of replacing the thermostat and performing an oil change and coolant flush.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission. A replacement exhaust system has been fitted.

The cowl data plate shows the following data:

  • 03D – 4th Week of March
  • Style: 63-4667 – 2-door convertible
  • Body: BC244 – Southgate, California assembly and sequence number
  • Trim: 679 – Red vinyl trim
  • Paint: CC – Arctic White

The Washington state title lists a “Classic” brand.
