This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible underwent a multi-year refurbishment that was completed in 2021, and the selling dealer acquired it following a March 2024 BaT auction. The car is powered by an electronic fuel-injected 327ci L79 V8 linked with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential with 3.55:1 gearing. It is finished in maroon with a white soft top and equipped with side-exit exhaust pipes, 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, and power steering. The cabin was re-trimmed in black vinyl upholstery and outfitted with aftermarket air conditioning and a vintage-look Bluetooth stereo. This C2 convertible is now offered by the selling dealer in Georgia with service records and a clean Florida title.
The fiberglass body was factory-finished in Marlboro Maroon (988) and was repainted during the refurbishment. A replacement white top is installed, and additional details include a domed hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, and a side-exit exhaust system with heat shields.
Silver 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with Hankook Optimo H724 white-stripe tires. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. A power steering conversion kit was fitted and the shocks were replaced in 2018. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, and the front calipers and pads were replaced in 2020.
Replacement black carpeting and vinyl seat covers, an aftermarket air conditioning system, and an Antique Automobile Radio AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo were fitted during the refurbishment. Additional details include Corvette flag floor mats, a heater, and a replacement electric analog clock.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames replacement instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline as well as gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci L79 V8 is equipped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection and a Crane camshaft, and additional work during the refurbishment included the replacement of the radiator hoses, water pump, alternator, distributor, and fuel tank. The radiator was replaced in March 2023.
The engine stamping is shown above.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. A Hurst Competition Plus shifter mechanism was installed in 2018, the clutch was replaced and the transmission was resealed in August 2020, and 3.55:1 rear-end gears were installed in March 2023.
