This Porsche 356A 1600 Super Convertible D replica was built by JPS Motorsports of San Marcos, California, and was acquired by the seller in 2023. Finished in light blue with a dark blue convertible soft top over blue vinyl, the car is powered by a 2.5-liter Subaru flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional features include chrome-finished 15″ wheels, disc brakes, a top boot, dual side mirrors, yellow-tinted driving lights, and a single grille decklid as well as air conditioning, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a push-button digital radio. This 356 Convertible D replica is now offered on dealer consignment in California with a clean Tennessee title listing the vehicle as a 1959 Volkswagen Beetle.
The fiberglass body is finished in blue and features a dark blue convertible soft top with a matching top boot. Additional details include dual mirrors, chrome-accented body-color bumpers, yellow-tinted driving lights, teardrop taillights, a single grille decklid, and gold-finished Porsche and 1600 Super Badging.
Chrome-finished 15″ wheels with matching hubcaps are mounted with 185/65 Westlake Radial RP18 tires. Braking is handled by discs at all four corners.
The bucket seats are upholstered in blue vinyl and accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels with map pockets. Amenities include air conditioning, a Vintage Speed shifter, and a push-button digital radio. Wear is noted on the carpets near the pedals.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 1k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added during current ownership.
The 2.5-liter Subaru flat-four sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle.
