This US-market 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster is one of 823 produced for the model year, and it shows 20k miles following the seller’s purchase in 2020. The car is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Grand Prix White over Cashmere leather upholstery. Bilstein dampers, SSI heat exchangers, and an aftermarket exhaust and air intake have been added, and additional equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a black soft top, a fiberglass twin-hump convertible-top cover panel, a Bluetooth-capable stereo, and cruise control. This 911 Speedster is offered at no reserve with a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.
The car features widened rear bodywork shared with the contemporary 911 Turbo, a fiberglass twin-hump convertible-top rear deck, and a shortened windscreen and side windows when compared to the standard Carrera. This example is finished in Grand Prix White with a black soft top, and exterior details include integrated fog lights, rear bumperettes, and a single exhaust outlet. Photographs of paint-meter readings are presented in the gallery.
Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs wheels have white centers and are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. Braking is handled by black Porsche-script calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Bilstein B6 dampers were installed and the sway bar bushings and control arm bushings were replaced in 2021.
The seats are upholstered in Cashmere leather and are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Coco floor mats line the footwell, and features include cruise control, hand-crank windows, a rear storage compartment, and a Porsche CD-2 stereo, the latter of which has been converted to utilize Bluetooth technology. The Speedster was not equipped with rear seats.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline flanked by a 170-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 215 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. SSI heat exchangers and an aftermarket exhaust and air intake have been added.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle.
The removed factory exhaust components will accompany the sale.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
