This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was refurbished at some point prior to the selling dealer’s 2024 acquisition and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 backed by a retrofitted five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in red over tan leather and has a tan soft top and top boot. Work in preparation for the sale included cleaning the quadruple carburetors, replacing the spark plugs, converting the air conditioning to R-134a, and changing fluids. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15″ wire wheels, and a Pioneer head unit linked to a trunk-mounted amplifier. This Series III E-Type is now offered in California by the selling dealer with a clean Florida title.

The car was refinished in its current shade of red prior to the selling dealer’s acquisition and is equipped with a tan soft top and top boot, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, and a power antenna. Lighting repairs were made in 2024.

The 15″ wire wheels are said to be replacements installed under prior ownership and are mounted with 215/70 Laufenn tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. A brake flush was performed in preparation for the sale.

The bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather and complemented by color-coordinated door panels. Work in July 2024 involved converting the air conditioning to use R-134a refrigerant. A Pioneer head unit is linked to an amplifier mounted in the trunk.

Instrumentation includes a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as auxiliary readouts that are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 58k  miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four SU carburetors, which the selling dealer notes were cleaned in preparation for the sale. Additional service in preparation for the sale involved adjusting the belts and changing the engine oil, spark plugs, coolant, and battery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that was installed under prior ownership and a limited-slip differential.

A portion of the reproduction chassis plate is shown above. The current Florida title lists the sequence UE1S24794BW as the VIN.

The Florida title is a duplicate.
