This 1967 Triumph TR4A IRS was purchased by the current owner from its reported original owner in 1972, and it was refurbished around 2006. Powered by a 2.1-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in red over black vinyl upholstery. Modifications include Mikuni carburetors, TWM intake manifolds, a TriumphTune finned valve cover, Minilite-style 15″ wheels, and a Rockford Fosgate CD head unit. This TR4A is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a Washington title that lists the model year as 1968.
Finished from the factory in Signal Red (32), the car was repainted around 2006 during the aforementioned refurbishment. Equipment includes a black convertible top, a luggage rack, dual side mirrors, dual exhaust outlets, and a top boot. The seller notes that the soft top exhibits tears.
Minilite-style 15″ SCP alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Touring T/A SR4 tires. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. The brake fluid reportedly was replaced in June 2024, and the seller indicates that the parking brake would benefit from adjustment.
The seating surfaces are trimmed in black vinyl with white piping. A Rockford Fosgate CD head unit is fitted in the dashboard. Other appointments include a wood dash fascia, a heater, lap belts, a locking glovebox, door-panel map pockets, and sun visors.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 2.1-liter inline-four has been modified with a pair of Mikuni carburetors, TWM intake manifolds, and a TriumphTune finned valve cover. An oil change and a tune-up are said to have been performed in June 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is noted on underbody components.
The car is titled to the body number, which is 76823CT. The chassis number—visible on a tag under the hood, is CTC76263L.
The Washington bears a Classic brand, carries a Duplicate comment, and lists the vehicle’s model year as 1968.
