This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refurbished in 2000 and acquired by the current owner in 2021. It is powered by a 427ci L68 V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. The car is finished in silver over black leather upholstery and equipped with a black convertible soft top, 15″ turbine-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, retractable headlights, an AM/FM radio, and Alpine speakers. This C2 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with a tank sticker and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Silver Pearl (986), and it was repainted during the refurbishment and fitted with a replacement black soft top. The car is also equipped with a black-striped stinger hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust tips.

Turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/75 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial redline tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes and a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear.

The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include headrests, a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, Alpine speakers, an analog clock, and lap belts.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 427ci L68 V8 is equipped with three Holley two-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.

The engine stamping is shown above. The JC suffix corresponds with a 400-horsepower, 427ci L68 V8 for use with a manual transmission.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential.

Decoding the trim tag reveals the following information:

  • Style 67 467 – 1967 Corvette convertible
  • Body S0739 – St. Louis body number
  • Trim STD – Black vinyl upholstery
  • Paint 986 – Silver Pearl
  • B26 – September 26 build date

The tank sticker lists factory colors and equipment.
