No Reserve: 48k-Mile 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG

This 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG was initially delivered to Smythe European in San Jose, California, and it has 48k miles following registration history in that state since new. Purchased by the seller in 2014, the car is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Aegean Blue Metallic over Ash leather upholstery. Equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop, bi-xenon headlights, 18″ AMG five-spoke alloy wheels, Keyless Go, heated and ventilated seats, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation. This R230 is offered at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Aegean Blue Metallic (946) and features a power-folding convertible hardtop. Additional equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, fender air vents, and AMG bodywork including a revised front spoiler, side skirts, and quad exhaust outlets. A May 2015 entry on the Carfax report lists damage with no additional information, which the seller attributes to a rear-end incident. Silver 18″ AMG five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car features Active Body Control suspension as well as an Electronic Stability Program, Automatic Slip Control, and an AMG High Performance Braking System with cross-drilled rotors.

The heated, ventilated, and massaging multi-contour seats are upholstered in Ash leather. A fabricated dashboard-mounted analog clock has been added, and amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a wind deflector, Keyless Go, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation.

The leather-trimmed steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 48k miles, approximately 12k of which were added under current ownership. The shifter buttons do not work.

The supercharged 5.4-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque was factory rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was last performed in 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Smythe European in San Jose, California, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total retail price of $121,180.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned May 2015 damage.
