This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera is a California-market cabriolet that was specified with the M491 “Turbo Look” option, and it has also been fitted with Flachbau-style bodywork up front. Finished in Summer Yellow over black partial leather, the car is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 17″ Fuchs-style wheels, front sport seats, an aftermarket radio, cruise control, an alarm system, and air conditioning. This Carrera cabriolet was purchased earlier this year by the current owner, who has since added several hundred of the 43k miles shown, and it is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Porsche Production Specifications sheet, additional literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in Summer Yellow (L10W), and the M491 option provided Turbo-specification spoilers as well as wider front and rear fenders. According to Porsche documentation available in the gallery, the car is one of 16 Turbo-look cabriolets produced for North America in 1987. The nose has been modified with Flachbau-style bodywork, a change that reportedly took place at Zipper Porsche in Beverly Hills, California, when the car was new.

The 17″ Fuchs-style wheels wheels are mounted with Yokohama tires that were installed approximately six years ago. The M491 package included Turbo-specification brakes, anti-roll bars, trailing arms, and torsion bars.

The cabin was specified in black partial leather with sport seats, and amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, an aftermarket radio, and power windows and locks.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 43k miles.

The 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The alternator was replaced three years ago.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle.
