This 1948 Willys-Overland Jeepster is a running project that is finished in two-tone red and black over black vinyl and is powered by a 134ci Go-Devil inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a black convertible top, 15″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps, front bumper guards, a bright T-shaped grille bar, a CB radio, a heater, and a split front bench seat. The truck was refurbished in New York in 1980 and was purchased by the seller in 2018. This Jeepster is now offered with a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in red and black and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features include a black convertible top, front bumper guards, a bright T-shaped grille bar, a split front windshield, and side curtains with plastic windows as well as chrome-plated fender steps, wrap-around chrome trim, and dual tail lights. There are dents and broken trim pieces on the hood as well as rust on the fenders. Paint cracks are shown up close in the gallery.

The 15″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with older BFGoodrich GT-200 tires measuring 165SR15. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners, and a spare tire is mounted at the rear. The truck was factory equipped with an independent front suspension as well as semi-elliptic rubber-mounted transverse front and conventional rear leaf springs. The brakes were overhauled in 2023, including a rebuilt master cylinder.

The cabin features a split front bench seat and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl. Amenities include a Craig radio with CB components, a heater, a body-color metal dashboard, a lockable glove compartment, dual horns, lap belts, and sun visors.

The two-spoke steering wheel features an aftermarket lace-up cover and fronts a centrally mounted instrument panel housing an 80-mph speedometer as well as gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 134ci Go-Devil inline-four was rated at 63 horsepower and 106 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller notes that the engine does not run well and requires a rebuild.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Rust on the underside is visible in the gallery.

The truck is titled using engine number U77789 shown above.
