This 1952 MG TD is finished in yellow over green and is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, a luggage rack, driving lights, wind wings, windshield-mounted mirrors, and seatbelts. The current owner purchased the car in 2021. This TD is now offered in Illinois by the seller on behalf of the owner with a tonneau cover, a soft top, a top boot, a tool kit, and a Wisconsin title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in yellow, and features include a tonneau cover, a louvered hood, a folding windshield, wind wings, windshield-mounted mirrors, driving lights, running boards, a luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The beige convertible top shown in the image gallery below requires repair work, the windshield wipers are inoperable, and the paint exhibits chips and touch-ups.

Chrome-finished 60-spoke 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Barum radial tires, and a Mastercraft spare is attached at the rear of the car. The drum braking system reportedly was refurbished in 2020.

The cabin houses a split bench seat trimmed in green upholstery, and amenities include a removable center armrest, a passenger-side grab handle, door-panel map pockets, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. Lap seatbelts were installed in 2024.

The banjo-style steering wheel is connected to an adjustable column and frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and a tachometer with an inset clock. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown.

The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 54 horsepower. A tune-up is said to have been performed in 2023.

The XPAG engine tag is shown above, and the number 16348 matches the engine number on the VIN plate provided in the gallery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller notes fluid leaks from the drivetrain.

The Wisconsin title describes the car’s body style as “Coupe”.
