No Reserve: 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

This 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce has remained reigstered in California and Oregon since new, and it was purchased in 2021 by the seller and subsequently used in Time-Speed-Distance rally event’s. Finished in Signal Red over tan leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.0L twin-cam inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equiptment include a limited-slip differential, Bilstein dampers, 14″ Campagnolo Daytona alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a black convertible soft top, LED headlights, a rear spoiler, an aftermarket stereo, and power windows. This S3 Spider Veloce shows 170k miles and is now offered at no reserve with the manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in Signal Red (AR514) and features a black convertible soft top, a front air dam, power-operated side mirrors, LED headlights, and a rear spoiler. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

Silver 14″ Campagnolo Daytona alloy wheels are mounted with Toyo Extensa A/S tires that have 2013 and 2014 date codes. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner. Bilstein dampers were installed in 2019, and additional work performed that year has included replacing the the trailing arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, sway bar bushings, front brake lines, front and rear brake pads, and the brake master cylinder. The brake fluid was changed in 2022.

The bucket seats are in tan leather and cabin amenities include an aftermarket stereo, power windows, Coco mats, vent windows, and a digital clock.

The three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel frames dual instrument pods housing Jaeger instrumentation consisting of 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer. Gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 170k miles, approximately 7k of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four features Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection for a factory rating of 115 horsepower and 119 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt in 2019, at which time the pistons, crankshaft and camshaft bearings, valve guides, and valve seals were replaced. The fuel pump was replaced in 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The differential was resealed in 2022.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage from its first entry in May 1991.
