This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 500SL is a European-market example that was imported to the US under previous ownership and is said to have sat for approximately 10 years before the seller’s acquisition in 2011. It is finished in gray metallic over blue leather and powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a removable hardtop, chrome 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, and a Pioneer CD stereo. This R107 is offered at no reserve with a hardtop stand, a German owner’s manual, an English service manual, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

Finished from the factory in Astral Silver (735), the car and removable hardtop were repainted gray metallic under current ownership. Exterior details include polished aluminum trim, fog lights, dual side mirrors, a power antenna, and twin polished exhaust outlets. The right taillight lens is cracked and the windshield washer fluid reservoir is missing. The soft top has not been raised under current ownership and the seller notes that the plastic rear window is faded.

Chrome 14″ Bundt alloy wheels are mounted with 205/70 Kumho Solus KR21 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel antilock disc brakes.

The front bucket seats are trimmed in blue leather and joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, a Pioneer CD stereo, and rear seats. The seller states that that the air conditioning compressor was replaced in 2023 and that the pneumatic door locking system has been disconnected. The wood veneer on the center console is chipped.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline and an inset clock as well as gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, fuel economy, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 105k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.0-liter M117 V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller reports that the fuel injectors and pump were replaced along with the battery in 2022 and that the alternator was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Corrosion is present on the underside, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery below.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas from an initial entry in March 2001.
