This 1955 MG TF 1500 was refurbished in 2005 and is finished in Ivory over red leather. It is powered by a 1.5-liter XPEG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and features include a tan soft top, a 4.33:1 rear end, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, chrome bumpers, running boards, rear-hinged doors, and a folding windshield. This TF 1500 was acquired by the current owner in 2023 and is now being offered on their behalf by the seller with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, a tool kit, and a clean Minnesota title in the owner’s name.

The car came finished from the factory in Ivory and was repainted around 2005. Additional features include a tan soft top, chrome bumpers, wind wings, running boards, rear-hinged doors, and a folding windshield. A pair of side curtains accompanies the vehicle.

The painted 15″ wire-spoke wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with Denman Elegant Premium Sports whitewall tires measuring 5.60-15, and a matching spare is affixed to the rear. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums. The front coil springs were replaced in preparation for the sale.

The cabin was reupholstered during the refurbishment and features low-back bucket seats trimmed in red leather along with black carpets. Additional equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a passenger grab handle, and dual dashboard storage compartments.

The banjo-style steering wheel wears an aftermarket leather wrap and fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 105-mph speedometer with an inset clock, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, less than 500 miles of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.5-liter XPEG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors for a factory rating of 63 horsepower and 76 lb-ft of torque. A replacement 12-volt battery was installed in 2024 and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 4.33:1 rear end reportedly sourced from an MGA.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate indicates that the car was despatched to the US on November 3, 1954 and shows factory colors and equipment.
