This 1988 Mazda RX-7 convertible has been modified with a 5.7-liter LS1 V8, a T-56 six-speed manual transmission, Enkei RPF1 17″ alloy wheels, aftermarket coilovers, NRG seats, a quick-disconnect steering wheel, and a Pioneer head unit. The car was refinished in white and has a black convertible top, pop-up headlights, and tinted windows. It spent time in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia prior to the seller’s 2024 acquisition. This modified RX-7 convertible is now offered at no reserve with a Georgia title in the seller’s name.

Factory finished in Noble White, the car reportedly was repainted under previous ownership. It is equipped with a replacement black soft top with a glass rear window as well as pop-up headlights and twin chrome exhaust outlets. The top must be raised and lowered manually, wear is visible in the top material and weatherstripping, the top boot is missing, and the hood scoop trim is cracked. The Carfax report notes collision damage occurring in June 2001, after which the car was declared a total loss by an insurance company.

Enkei RPF1 17″ alloy wheels wear 245/40 Falken Ziex tires with 2020 date codes. Power steering is fitted, stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs, and aftermarket coilovers are said to be installed.

Replacement NRG Innovations bucket seats are upholstered in black cloth and accompanied by blue interior trim. A Pioneer head unit is fitted. Cracks and flaws are noted on the interior trim and the air conditioning does not blow cold.

The NRG quick-disconnect steering wheel is wrapped in suedecloth and frames a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. AEM digital oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges are located in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 175k miles, approximately 45 of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report shows 205k miles in 2012 along with a mileage inconsistency in 2018, and total mileage is unknown.

The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 reportedly was installed in 2014 and is fitted with a FAST LSXR intake manifold, a 102mm throttle body, a GM ECU, a fabricated cold air intake, an aluminum radiator with dual electric puller fans, wrapped exhaust manifolds, and a dual exhaust system.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a custom driveshaft.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned total loss declaration and mileage inconsistency.

The Georgia title is a replacement.
