This 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S cabriolet is a non-running project whose 3.6-liter flat-six suffered an undiagnosed failure in November 2023. Finished in Carrara White over Metropol Blue full leather, the car is equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle, an all-wheel-drive system, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a Metropol Blue soft top, 18″ GT3 alloy wheels, xenon headlights, power-adjustable heated front seats, a Bose audio system, and automatic climate control. This 996 C4S cabriolet project has 85k miles and is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve in Canada with service records and British Columbia registration.

The car is finished in Carrara White (LB9A) and features a Metropol Blue convertible soft top. It is fitted with xenon headlights, headlamp washers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, heated mirrors, and polished exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists an accident in a May 2012 entry. The car was declared a total loss in Canada in January 2023, and invoices shown in the gallery below detail approximately C$20k in repairs performed at that time.

The 18″ GT3 alloy wheels show finish imperfections and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car is equipped with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD). Braking is from red calipers over ventilated and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.

The Metropol Blue full leather interior features heated power-adjustable seats with supple center inserts. Options include a Bose sound system, self-dimming mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers, and the cabin is also equipped with automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Becker-Porsche CDR23 head unit.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline and a 200-mph speedometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 85k miles.

The 3.6-liter flat-six experienced a failure in November 2023. It does not run, and it does not turn over smoothly. The camshaft plugs, clutch, flywheel, and intermediate shaft cover have been removed prior to the car’s acquisition by the selling dealer, who notes that further disassembly is required for diagnosis. The IMS bearing was replaced in January 2021, and related invoices are shown in the gallery below.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Corrosion is noted underneath the car, including in the right rocker panel area.

Decoding the option sticker reveals information including:

  • LB9A – Carrara White paint
  • EX – Metropol Blue full leather upholstery
  • C02 – Version for USA

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned May 2012 accident and January 2023 total loss declaration.

The vehicle is being offered on its British Columbia registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
