This 1973 MGB roadster was acquired by the seller in 2017, and it was subsequently refurbished in blue with replacement interior panels and carpeting. Additional work is said to have included resealing the replacement 1.8-liter inline-four and the four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes chrome-plated bumpers with overriders as well as a black soft top, 15″ wire wheels, front disc brakes, twin SU carburetors, door-mounted mirrors, front vent windows, a heater, a locking glove compartment, and tan vinyl upholstery. This MGB roadster is now offered with a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.
The body was repaired and refinished in blue between 2018 and 2019, per the seller, and it features a black soft top with a zip-down rear window as well as an early-style grille, door-mounted mirrors, front vent windows, and chrome-finished bumpers with overriders.
The silver-finished 15″ wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are mounted with 185/65 Remington XT-120 HR Plus tires. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The tan vinyl-trimmed bucket seats are complemented by replacement black carpeting and door panels. Additional appointments include a passenger-side map pocket, a locking glove compartment, and a heater. There are cracks in the top of the dashboard.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges displaying oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 100 of which are said to have been added since the completion of the refurbishment. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 1.8-liter inline-four was reportedly overhauled under previous ownership, and the seller states that assorted gaskets and seals were replaced during the refurbishment. Additional details include twin SU carburetors and a black wrinkle-finish valve cover.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, the seals of which are said to have been replaced under current ownership. Black undercoating has been applied to the underside.
