This 1956 Chevrolet Corvette was refurbished prior to the current owner’s 2014 acquisition and is powered by a 265ci V8 with dual-quad carburetors that is backed by a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Finished in green with white coves, the car has a tan soft top, 15″ wheels, windshield washers, power windows, a heater, bucket seats, beige vinyl upholstery, and a rearview mirror mounted atop the twin-cowl dash. This C1 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner at no reserve with a clean Texas title in the name of the owner’s business.

The car is finished in green with white coves and has a tan soft top. Features include a wrap-around windshield with washers in addition to split chrome bumpers and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumper uprights.

Steel 15″ wheels wear covers with faux knock-off spinners and are wrapped in BFGoodrich whitewall tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. Braking is handled by drums at each corner.

The cabin houses twin bucket seats trimmed in beige vinyl along with a color-coordinated twin-cowl dash, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include power windows, a heater, a floor-mounted shifter, a clock, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, and center-mounted instrumentation consists of a tachometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 4,500 miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 265ci V8 is equipped with two four-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 225 horsepower.

The engine stamping is shown above. The FG suffix is consistent with a 265ci V8 rated at 225 horsepower and designated for a 1956 Corvette with two four-barrel carburetors and an automatic transmission.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
